Peasants, ronin, low ranking samurai, and merchants inhabit Kyuden Moshi no Machi, the small town surrounding the ancestral palace of the Centipede. The streets are well-paved and most buildings are built of stone, with large windows opening to the sky to welcome the light of the Sun Goddess.
